I fell in love with this pattern long ago. Sadly, the $13 price tag scared me off. One day recently, I stumbled upon this pattern WITH fabric at a thrift store for only $5! The cowgirl fabric was something I would have never considered, but I am so pleased with this bag. I am out of practice and my sewing skills are slow to recover. I did not use any piping as called for in the pattern. I am really in love with how it turned out! We plan on getting a lot of use out of this bag for travel this summer and it sure will be easy to identify with those cute western boots- nothing like anything we've ever had before.
Orange is not usually a color I use but this bag turned out really sweet with the small flowers and contrast. I'm going to try to join in a fun sock knitting challenge this year. One pair of socks per month for a year. I wasn't sure I was that motivated, but at the last minute, or at least 5 days before the end of January, I decided to zip through a pair of socks. Our Crafty Katherine has been experimenting with Barbie dress design. Seeing her creations shows me how absurd of a human-like shape these dolls actually have. It leans to her ability to adjust fitting for various shapes which could come in handy if she starts designing larger garments.Jerrihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15576283799517531599noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5926307068498308575.post-14224709270689145032018-01-13T15:33:00.000-05:002018-01-13T15:33:18.609-05:00
