More pictures to follow of the lovely handmade gifts we've received for baby. Here are the stitch markers I've made to put in the Thank You cards. The butterfly represents new life/new beginnings.

Another so sweet knitted baby gift! These little socks are so soft and pretty! I LOVE the handmade goodness of the tiny stitches! Thank you Judy!
I've completed a few more sets of stitch markers. I ran out of jump rings, picked up more, and have now run out again. I am on a small beading spree lately.

A beautiful soft and lovely baby blanket gift from a dear knitting friend. Thank you Vanessa!

Another birthday cake. They are all close together at the begining of the year at our house. This one is topped with tons of colorful sprinkles and then written on with white icing, although, the writing is hard to see.

This picture would have turned out way better with brighter lighting. This is my homemade cheesecake. A nice Valentine treat for my Valentine. He loves it so much, I can only make it every couple of years- keeps the suspense.

This tiny, tiny bootie knitted up fast. I hsve enough yarn for the second one too- I just don't think it will fit/or stay on an actual baby. There were a lot of online reviews about them, but none included info on fit. Hmmm...

Totally blurry- the camera is having serious issues lately. You can mostly get the idea of the cake I've made.

Two size smalls with velcro. I think these are the last of this size. Yay!

Friday, February 20, 2009

The rest of the newborn fitted diapers. I think I'm done with this size now. It's hard to tell, but, the red ones are made from the scraps of some daddy sized shorts and a big sister sized nightgown from long ago. There are men fishing on them.

A few more dyed prefolds.
Poor lighting, but some more tie-dying.

Wednesday, February 18, 2009

Here are some pictures from the last tie dying we did. It took so long to post pics because my camera is acting up. These turned out a little more bold than the previous set of dyes. I am happy with the whole batch of dyed stuff- even though there is a green haze to everything- serious plumbing issue here just as I was rinsing/washing the whole batch.

One strawberry shirt for an 18" doll and one romper for a Cabbage Patch. I'll add those snaps tomorrow. The shirt is a cute print, but I have accepted my inability to make a decent doll shirt.
I'll add snaps tomorrow.

This bag started with this lovely piece of printed fabric. I did not have a pattern, so I used the picture measurements to create the bag. The top half is the bag flap and the bottom are 2 pockets. Bag is dark blue with light blue lining and dark green cotton webbing strap.
It is the perfect size for so many uses! I'm really pleased with how it turned out.

A fun day filled with tie-dying! This is a preview of what we are excited to see tomorrow! It is always so fun when we unwrap, rinse, and wash! The kids have so much fun with the colors too!

The photo does not display how snuggly, cuddly soft this little lovey is! Small, sweet, baby blanket. The white backing fabric will get even softer with washing.

Three mediums and 2 larges. The dark ones are actually forest green with pink binding and snaps. They are all girly.

Wednesday, February 4, 2009

Another dozen wipes. Most of these have flannel on one side, sherpa on the other. I think I'm up to 60 wipes. That should be enough for a long time.

Tuesday, February 3, 2009

Three more velcro smalls with inserts.

A child-sized apron. This was unfinished from last year, but I am getting closer to the end of those 'unfinished' items.

Cutie-Patootie One Size diaper. These are getting more fun to make. However, this will be my last for a while. I will gift this to a friend who will hopefully give me feedback on the fit. The snaps are all in line- the photo is just wrinkly.
