A mini colorful cake. Katherine thought it was so pretty she took a few bites before leaving class. There is a "D" on the top and her attempt at writing "Dana" above it. I convinced her that it was ok to eat, since Dana lives too far away to save and give.
A Child sized apron. I didn't spend enough time taking this picture, or working with the lighting so you could see the great contrast of the brown with pink. I think there are only 2 left in the unfinished bin now.

The amazing button maker is kind of fun, (with a bit of machine error).

Chalkcloth. A little pocket on the back holds the chalk and the eraser can't be lost. I have a few modifications to make before I feel perfection. But I'm very happy with these!
So I noticed I wasn't doing anything else with this...now it is a pleasure to use! (Idea from: LittleBirdieSecrets)

All hand stitched with wool felt. I really enjoyed making this. The orange pocket in the back is just the right size for a library card.
A fun dress for her birthday. It seems she grew the week I made it, so it is already too short. Although, it looks cute with leggings.

A little baby pair of fleece pants. I was using the shears in the picture for size comparison, but with my little helper, that may not be a good idea.

Sweet little cotton shirt, but no one wants it.
Fun baking day. Blueberry muffins from scratch and chocolate chip cookies from scratch. I made up a double batch of cookie dough, rolled it into logs and kept it in the fridge. Lasted about 2 weeks and we only made a handful of cookies at a time.

A small zippy pouch. Not waterproof. This matches her birthday dress and worked great to hold all her gifts too.

2" wide grosgrain ribbon doubled, sew-on snaps, and all your favorite buttons. She sewed the buttons herself, which makes mommy proud. So, she gets some great practice threading the needle and sewing buttons and she loves to show off her bracelet.

18" Doll peasant top attempt 2. This one turned out pretty well. A little longer and it could even be a dress, but just a bit too short for that at this length. The sleeves need to be a bit longer for the next try.

Still haven't gotten a better picture of this dress, but we are approaching the next birthday here, so I have to post it. I had just over half yard of the cupcakes so I made the bodice, pocket, and bottom 4 1/2" hem out of it. The skirt was plain pink.

A Cabbage Patch Doll dress. This doll was mine from childhood, so new clothes are a great idea. I had fun with the tiny lace edging, even on the bloomers.

Check out this dinner action! Thanks Abigail! Now I can find time to craft- or maybe just change diapers...

A pair of little leather shoes. Not bad for a first try...need some adjustments.

Some fun lanolin soap in the shape of a sheep. I used a new recipe and a new sheep shape mold this time. Fun! I can only make one at a time this way, but still so cute and worth it! (This soap is great to wash wool items with.)

So I found a cool recipe for making a cake in a mug in the microwave. They said 'don't worry when the cake rises over the mug while cooking, it will shrink back down.' Hmmm...I should not have believed them. It rose, and rose, and oozed. It was not super yummy but surely fast and easy. Reminded me of the Coco Wheat days...

I would add the optional chocolate chips next time, and 1 less tablespoon sugar.
I might look for a vanilla version and let the kids try.

This took slightly longer than expected. I had to wait until the wee hours to get out the glue gun. I will really try to get actual pictures into it before March.
