100 feet of cotton clothesline from the hardware store. I saw this craft long ago, but it looked challenging. Sewing it was much easier than I expected. I just used regular white thread. I'm quite happy with it, although I'm not sure how long it will stay clean and white toting toys around. You see the leather straps sitting here- I've punched holes in them to sew on, but I'm still waffling on which way. I'll snap another shot later- the basket is already in use, holding Legos.

Another Rast from Ikea. I had a little help with this one.

A new craft to add to the ever-growing list. Balloon shapes! If you can't tell, it is a sword and a dog. I think this might be the end of my clown career. Nothing else I made was distinguishable.

RAST 3-drawer chest IKEA Made of solid wood, which is a durable and warm natural material.

This is the original cabinet- this picture is from the Ikea website.

Continuing with my latest wood projects. This is the IKEA "Rast". I'll include the link so you can see how it started. I'm very pleased with it. The drawers are so tiny. You can see that an embroidery floss box won't fit sideways. I'll just be using it for crafts, but my favorite part is the 'built in' bookends. All of my crafting books have been stored. Now I can see them again! I love looking at them!

Embroidery floss holder- great idea- not my idea. I love the idea of keeping all the colors I've set aside for a project together. Working with the vinyl was a bit sticky and I used the kid's scissors to cut it, so I wouldn't damage my gingers.

Nineteen panels across, and double sided. Working with this thick chalk-cloth was easier than I expected. I just sewed the triangles together, then sewed them all to the binding. I used pinking shears around the raw edges for a cute look. Now I can erase and write any message that fits the day!

Now that I've finished these three crates, and I see how they look next to our plastic ones, I definitely love them! I would like to get three more.

Happy Valentine's Day! I was gifted with a lovely Christmas table runner from a dear sewing friend. After being complimented on setting a lovely table, I knew I wanted to make my own for other holidays. After reading these instructions several times, I didn't think it could really be this easy. But guess what? It was! Mine took a bit longer than ten minutes because I hand stitched those sweet heart buttons on. That extra detail was a direct result of the influence I'm feeling from a dear blogger and her domestic inspiration.

In my mind I didn't think there would be a problem with them flipping upside down.
Decorating for Valentine's day. Each paper heart has a bible verse about love written on each side.

Sadly, our baby is bigger than this cute bubble suit. I never finished putting the snaps on long ago. I thought I'd love this pattern for a gathered neck and only 2 pattern pieces. It didn't seem to go together or look as good as I was hoping.

With a coupon, this one was only six bucks! I actually bought a small can of paint of the blue. I love it, I think all the others are going to be this same color. So much for variety!

I don't really have a use for a beautiful knitted hat, but I really enjoyed making it.

Who doesn't love Pinterest ? For 8 bucks, I couldn't pass up a wood craft. I'd actually like to do 3-4 of these, so I have some advice for my next one.
Sand more. Have more paint available. Don't under estimate the baby.
I had some neat ideas that involved some painted parts and some stained. I love the look of natural wood. However, when the baby needed a diaper change, and the 4 year old took over the painting, ...
