I've wanted to make this bag for a while. I used some leftover, unlabeled wool. The red and yellow felted great. The orange was a different blend and though it did felt, not as well.

I never would have guessed that these baby shoes would be so much fun to make! They also fit perfectly right now. Size medium. I'm tempted to start on the next size. Simplicity pattern. 

I just LOVE how the baby hat from watermelon yarn turned out! It is so much fun to knit with!  I tried making baby socks, but the color blocked in funny ways that I didn't care for. Our baby wore this just after birth and it fit her for less than 2 weeks, but was totally worth making just for the ooohs, ahhs and pictures.

This tiny baby hat was made on size 2 needles with leftover sock yarn. It only fit our 9 pound baby for about 5 days.

 Although it looks blue, it really has many tones of purples and blues. I dyed the yarn myself then knit it into this Vintage 5 Hour Baby Sweater Pattern. Turns out that it took me more than 5 hours. Since it was my second one in 2 weeks, it went quickly anyway. I used size 10.75 needles and a bulky yarn so I think the sizing is about 18 months.

This shawl is made from very thin superwash yarn. I loved working with it, but I doubled it all the way through. The pattern is called: Miss Potter. Worked up lovely, but I rarely reach for this when it is chilly.

I don't usually post things that are unfinished but this is a great exception. This yarn is spectacular to work with! This sock is finished, but I'm still working on its mate. I do hope to be able to have enough left over for baby sized socks to match- and enough time to finish them!

Baby hat. Why use those thin cotton hospital hats, when you can knit tiny hats with thin yarn on tiny needles? This one actually took longer than I thought because of the tiny needles and thin yarn. But it is so pretty and soft.

Botanical Cowl is the name of the pattern. I used some lovely sock yarn and repeated the pattern one extra time so I wouldn't have any leftovers.It really needs blocking so you can see the eyelets and patterning, but it is unlikely that I'll ever wear or use this so it may take a long time to block.

Another pair of Vanilla Latte Pattern socks. This pair was made using beautiful hand-dyed sock yarn from my favorite line of "A Fling With String". It also helps that the proprietor is a dear friend of mine and the yarn was a gift. I have plenty left over for something baby-sized...

Here is some wool I hand dyed. I've been inspired lately to dye yarn again. Although, now I have this serious dilemma about what to knit with 400 yards of wool.

 My dear aunt gave me this gift of beautiful sock yarn for Christmas a few years ago. It sat as a half-finished sock because at the time I was making cabled socks and had just had a baby. Turns out, they knit up much quicker with a simple pattern. The pattern is called Vanilla Latte Sock pattern, plain enough for anyone to tackle without paying attention to a lot of details like in cables.

I have tried this pattern 3 times. This, the fourth try, finally seems good. I'd love to get a better picture of her, but really I'm glad I finally won.

I decided to paint her face on instead of embroider. This was a good idea that I think I'll use on my next project that was holding me up in a hand embroidery way.

Christmas ornaments stitched with wool felt. I really love working with quality materials. This pattern came from one of my favorite bloggers/stitchers: WildOlive. www.wildolive.blogspot.com These were the gifts I gave to my knitting group.

Some more Malabrigo green. I paired it with the rest of the rainbow yarn I'd won a couple of years ago from another blog. It was so pretty and with so little left, I knew it would be perfect here. I actually ran out near the bottom, which is all Dark Horse Yarn yellow. It felted great as a substitution, and the color is fine, especially since the bottom isn't seen. I'm thinking of using the last bit of yellow on another bowl I'm working on. I love how this pattern uses up some great wool and works up quick.

A knitted, felted before and after. The thing started large enough to fit half of me in it. Now it easily holds one knitting project and a water bottle.

Knitted wool cap. The ribbed band went funky, which is strange because wool has such great recovery. I know how to fix this next time.
