Dumplings

When snapping this shot, I realized how often I don't get pics of the things I make. There were a couple of these, but the other one was so cute it went into use right away.

This pattern, slightly enlarged to make the most of my 17" zips.

Redwork

A couple more of these redwork squares are done. So far, this is the BEST crafty book I've used in a long time.

Jelly Roll Race

The kids and I have been watching this youtube every night before bed for weeks. They love the funny speedy part of the video. I'm no quilter, but I thought I could try this out- especially after seeing it so many times. Turns out, it took me 1 hour 30 minutes. Still impressive considering it was my first try and I had a broken bobbin issue.

After searching pinterest for ideas, I figured out an idea for a thread holder. Since I'm rarely sewing anymore with the machine, I wanted a way to store just a few spools. Most of these are for handwork. Luckily there was a five year old handy for the sawing, sanding, and hammering involved in this project.

O+S is still one of my favorite pattern designers. This is a size 3T Teaparty Sundress.

A project folder shown with an 8" hoop. I love the reds in the fabrics and the buttons. For years I've used my machine to sew on buttons, so this was a bit more challenging.
